Printer Proof

The hard copy from the printer sent for final approval. To ensure that there are not any issues with the design before it goes to final press.

The types of printer proofs include

  1. Desktop Proofs, which are the inexpensive and good for checking copy and graphics placement, but may not be accurate for checking colors.
  2. PDF Proofs, which are sent electronically and are good for checking the text, but not colors.
  3. Digital PrePress Proofs, which are color accurate and high quality.
  4. Press Proofs, which are on the same material that the finals will be printed on.
  5. Bluelines, which are used for book printing to check pagination, but are not used for color because they printed in all blue.
