How a regulatory pivot led to award-winning design for Santa Fe Spirits
Our work for Desert Bloom Gin just earned Silver at The One Club's 2025 Denver Awards, proof that the best creative solutions often come from unexpected places. When Santa Fe Spirits challenged us to create branding as authentic and sophisticated as their Southwest liquids, we dove deep into the region's rugged elegance. Then came the curveball: regulatory issues killed the original Cholla Blossom concept. Instead of compromising, we expanded the vision entirely, transforming a single SKU into a full gin line with Desert Bloom, Purple Sage, and Prickly Pear leading the charge. The packaging now tells the complete story of Southwest terroir—juniper, white sage, osha root, and Cascade hops translated into visual language that works as hard in cocktail-forward cities as it does in its New Mexico home. Not every roadblock is a dead end, some are just redirects to something better.
