Building a Brand Worthy of Its Founder—And Winning Gold
Most prenatal vitamins promise the same thing: "complete nutrition for mom and baby." But what if the person formulating yours was an award-winning neurologist who understood fetal brain development at a cellular level? That's Mama Bird—and that level of specificity is exactly why the brand needed a repositioning that could match the science behind it.
We're proud to say that work just took home GOLD at Ad Club Colorado's The FIFTY Awards.
Originally launched as Best Nest Wellness, the brand experienced limited success in the DTC space and was preparing for a retail debut. As part of that transition, the team sought to reposition and rebrand under a new name: Mama Bird.
The goal was to better communicate a differentiated focus on brain-first nutrition, developed by founder Mika Gupta, MD, an award-winning neurologist and mother. The opportunity was to break through a crowded category by speaking directly to the emotional motivation of the target consumer—the desire to give her future children the best possible start, even before birth.
We evolved the strategic positioning to clearly articulate Mama Bird's brain-first approach and highlight the expertise behind it. From there, we refreshed the visual identity to reflect the brand's purpose and founder story.
Now Mama Bird shows up with a brand identity that's as precise and purposeful as the neurological research behind it.
